Domestic Arrangements
Timetable
A week or half week at East Barnby can run in many different ways depending on the ages of your group members, weather conditions and, of course, the activities which you choose to do. The text below outlines a typical weeks programme. Please note that all times are approximate!
Monday
Arrive at Centre between 10:30 and 11:30, if possible settle into dormitories and waterproofs and wellington boots issue.
12.00 Welcome Talk
12.30 Hot Meal
13.00 Divide into groups and get ready for the afternoon's activities
13.30 Begin activity
16.30 Return from activity
17.30 Evening Meal
Evening activities, supper and bedtime are all decided by the visiting teachers. A member of East Barnby staff will be on duty to help and advise throughout the evening and night till breakfast the next day.
Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday
08.30 Breakfast
09.00 Divide into groups and get ready for the day's activities
09.30 Begin Activity
16.30 Return from activity
17.30 Evening Meal

Meals
East Barnby is proud to produce home cooked meals and snacks based on the age-old philosophy of healthy eating. We can also cater for any dietary requirement from vegetarian to celiac. Any special dietary requirements can always be discussed in advance with our Head Cook who will do her utmost to accommodate your needs.

Tuck Shop
East Barnby is home to a small tuck shop that can be opened after tea at the request of the visiting staff. The tuck shop sells a range of healthy juice and water drinks as well as numerous souvenirs which are available at very reasonable prices. The small amount of profit made is ploughed back into resources for the games room and main block, benefiting all our users.
Dormitories
East Barnby has 5 comfortable and centrally heated dormitories. Benefiting from a complete redecoration in the summer of 2005, we are sure that you will find our accommodation satisfactory. You will also have access to a drying room as well as all the facilities available in the main block.
In addition one dormitory was equipped with an accessible bedroom and bathroom suite in the Spring of 2010.
All linen is provided, although you do have to make your own beds on arrival!
