Accomodation

The Centre is housed in the old school which was built by the people of the dale; a handsome 200-year-old sandstone building which was completely refurbished inside in 2005.

It offers fully central heated hostel style accommodation for up to 26 people comprising: 2 large dormitories (8+12 beds), 2 smaller first floor rooms for staff or families (3 beds each) and 3 toilet and shower areas with wheelchair access.

All linen is provided, although you do have to make your own beds on arrival!

Facilities

The Centre has a mezzanine work area, fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer), payphone, off road parking, playground and secure covered bike storage available at all times.

Meals

Great Fryupdale centre is available to hire as follows:

• Accommodation only, provide own food and self cater
• Accommodation and food provided, self prepare and cook
• Fully catered accommodation

We have contracted local providers, Sunflowers of Whitby to prepare / produce the range of home cooked meals and snacks available based on the age-old philosophy of healthy eating. We can also cater for any dietary requirement from vegetarian to coeliac. Any special dietary requirements can always be discussed in advance with Zoe who will do her utmost to accommodate your needs.
